What is NN3 Visa? Who is it Issued for?
NN3 Visa, also known as Visa Vietnam NN3, is a type of visa granted to foreigners entering Vietnam to work with foreign organizations, branches, or representative offices. Specifically, according to the regulations in Article 8 of Law No. 47/2014/QH13, the NN3 visa is issued to foreigners working at:
- Non-governmental foreign organizations.
- Representative offices or branches of foreign traders.
- Representative offices of foreign economic, cultural, and other specialized organizations.
Requirements for Applying for NN3 Visa in Vietnam
Foreigners need to meet the following requirements to be eligible for the NN3 visa:
- Have a valid passport or international travel document with remaining validity.
- Have a legal organization or company operating in Vietnam to process the guarantee.
- Not fall under the categories of individuals denied entry as regulated by immigration laws.
Duration of NN3 Visa for Foreigners
According to regulations, the NN3 visa has a maximum duration of 12 months. Therefore, foreigners will be granted an NN3 visa with a maximum validity period of 1 year. Unlike NN1 and NN2 visas, individuals holding an NN3 visa cannot apply for a temporary residence card.

The inviting organization, the guarantor, and the foreigner need to prepare the following documents when applying for a new NN3 visa:

- 02 passport-sized photos with white background (taken within the last 6 months).
- Visa application form for NN3 visa for foreigners – Form NA1.
- Request letter for visa issuance according to Form NA2.
- Legal documents proving employment with the foreign organization, office, or branch in Vietnam.

NN3 Visa Application Procedure for Foreigners Entering Vietnam

Step 1: The guaranteeing company initiates the entry permit application procedure with the Immigration Department/Immigration Office near the company.
