Before the onset of the Covid pandemic, Syrian citizens had two options to obtain a tourist visa for Vietnam, namely: • Applying for an embassy visa,

However, post-Covid, the procedure has undergone significant changes. To secure a tourist visa for Vietnam, Syrian travelers must now obtain sponsorship from a tour company registered in Vietnam. This company will handle the necessary paperwork and collaborate with the Vietnam Immigration Department to obtain the Vietnam visa approval letter. Subsequently, the visa will be stamped upon arrival at the Vietnam airport, facilitating participation in the arranged tour.

2.2 How to Obtain a Business Visa for Vietnam for Syrian Citizens?

To apply for a business visa, Syrian citizens are obligated to have a sponsoring company in Vietnam. The following two steps must be followed by you and your employer in Vietnam to obtain a business visa for Vietnam:

• Step 1: Obtain a visa approval letter

o During this step, your sponsoring company will be required to prepare the following documents:

+ Online completion of Form NA2.

+ Form NA16

+ Certified business registration

o Subsequently, your sponsoring company will submit these documents to the Vietnam Immigration Department, which will process the application within 7 – 10 working days upon receipt of all valid documents.

o If the application is approved, your sponsoring company will receive a business visa approval letter, enabling you to obtain a business visa for Vietnam.

• Step 2: Acquire the business visa stamp

o In this step, you will obtain a business visa stamp on your passport at the Vietnam embassy/consulate in your country before your departure for Vietnam.
